Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie-Pastry to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our commitment to culinary excellence.

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in accordance with hotel standards
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across all pastry products
  • Develop and refine pastry recipes to enhance the menu offering, incorporating local flavors when appropriate
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper ingredient storage and rotation
  • Maintain all food safety standards and HACCP protocols within the pastry section
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and introduce new pastry items aligned with guest preferences
  • Support and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering skill development and teamwork
  • Assist in conducting training sessions and implementing structured learning programs for the pastry team
  • Ensure all pastry tools and equipment are properly maintained and in working condition
  • Contribute to menu planning and costing for pastry items

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Creativity in developing new pastry recipes and presentations
  • Proficiency in chocolate and sugar work
  • Knowledge of Middle Eastern pastry traditions is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
