The Position

Are you passionate about fine cuisine and eager to expand your culinary skills? If so, we invite you to join the area's top culinary team! As a First Cook, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, especially if you have proven experience and a desire to be inspired. Casino Rama's Culinary Department offers an excellent opportunity for growth and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to recipes and portion control
  • Supervise up to 8 staff members
  • Cook using baking, roasting, steaming, broiling, and other methods
  • Ensure proper presentation and garnishment of dishes
  • Provide excellent customer service and foster positive relations with co-workers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • Journeyman’s papers / Red Seal certification
  • Four (4) years of progressive culinary experience in a large kitchen or similar environment
  • Meeting departmental standards for Prep Line Cook in all kitchen areas
  • Well-rounded skills across all kitchen areas with basic pastry knowledge
  • Leadership and training abilities
  • Proficiency in Garde Manger, Hot Kitchen, and Line Cooking
  • Ability to participate in a three-course cooking test during the interview
  • Capability to handle stressful situations professionally
