Taboo Muskoka is a privately owned resort and golf operation whose mission is to "Create happiness by offering incredible Muskoka experiences to our guests and team."

Our Culinary team plays a crucial role in making this happen, and we are looking for a Pizza Chef (Chef de Partie) to join us!

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas using traditional and modern techniques.
• Manage dough preparation, stretching, and baking to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring optimal cooking temperatures.
• Organize and maintain mise en place for pizza stations to meet forecasted demand.
• Follow portion control guidelines to maintain food cost efficiency.
• Ensure food storage, rotation, and safety standards comply with regulations.
• Minimize food waste and contribute to menu planning and quality control.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safe kitchen practices.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and assist with team development.
• Assist with ordering ingredients and maintaining kitchen inventory.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to create seasonal pizza offerings.
• Follow health & safety, fire, and security protocols at all times.

Education & Experience :

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-volume pizza kitchen, including wood-fired or stone oven experience.
• Culinary diploma preferred but not required.

Physical Environment / Requirements :

• Standing for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
• Working with hot ovens, sharp tools, and heavy equipment.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
