Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare food according to recipes and portion expectations.
  2. Supervise a small team of staff.
  3. Ensure proper presentation and garnishing of dishes.
  4. Lead by example, delivering extraordinary service and food quality.
  5. Prepare and garnish food orders as received, following recipes and presentation standards.
  6. Support team members in your section to achieve optimal quality.
  7. Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.
  8. Ensure proper cleanup and section shutdown according to departmental procedures and standards.

What You Bring

  • Two or more years of experience in a cooking position or extensive culinary background.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
  • Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of meat, starches, sauces, soups, and food safety practices.
  • FoodSafe Certification is an asset.
  • Well-rounded skills across all kitchen areas, including pastry, sauces, and line cooking.
  • Strong leadership and training abilities.
  • Calm under pressure, with a dedicated work ethic and positive attitude.
