The Position

Are you passionate about fine cuisine and eager to expand your culinary skills? If so, we invite you to join the area's top culinary team at Casino Rama. The First Cook role is ideal for energetic candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience and a desire to be inspired are essential.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Prepare food according to recipes and portion control
  2. Supervise up to 8 staff members
  3. Cook using baking, roasting, steaming, broiling, and other methods
  4. Ensure presentation and garnishment meet standards
  5. Provide excellent customer service and promote good relations with co-workers
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Require :
  1. Journeyman’s papers / Red Seal
  2. Four (4) years of progressive culinary experience in a large kitchen
  3. Meet departmental standards for Prep Line Cook
  4. Well-rounded in all kitchen areas with basic pastry knowledge
  5. Leadership and training skills
  6. Proficiency in Garde Manger, Hot Kitchen, and Line Cooking
  7. Participation in a three (3) course cooking test during the interview
  8. Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately
  9. Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and policies
