Qualifications

We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our team!

Job Description

As the Chef de Partie, you will support a team of culinary professionals in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities include executing culinary programs that match our brand standards, ensuring quality, and making business decisions to uphold guest service and meet financial goals.

Job duties:

  • Motivate staff to provide excellent service, fostering communication and team spirit.
  • Train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Supervise First Cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook meals for various settings, including restaurants and banquets, covering pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, and meats.
  • Assist with new menu implementation and standardization.
  • Ensure food quality and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
  • Complete daily checklists, including HACCP forms and temperature logs.
  • Enforce health and hygiene standards and safety regulations.
  • Monitor portion sizes and waste control.
  • Attend relevant training courses and seminars.
  • Ensure high standards in food production, preparation, and presentation.
  • Follow procedures for food handling, storage, and sanitation; requisition supplies as needed.
  • Maintain proper food preservation standards.
  • Work flexible shifts as required.
  • Inspect and ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment.
  • Assess production methods and communicate recommendations to the Sous Chef.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and team coaching skills.
  • 3-5 years of cooking experience, with 1-2 years as a Chef de Partie.
  • Cook’s trade certification or equivalent.
  • Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management education is an asset.
  • Valid FoodSafe or Level 2 Food Safety certification.
