Job summary

Eataly in Toronto is seeking a Salumi & Formaggi Artisan for our cheese department. You will assist guests with cheese selection, weigh and package products, and keep displays neat while FIFO standards are followed.

We look for excellent communication, basic math, knife skills, knowledge of cheese, and a high school diploma. Availability for weekends and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; training provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic knife skills.
• Knowledge of cheese highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products.
• Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner.
• Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low.
• Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and FIFO standards.
• Cleans work station thoroughly.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
