Certified Personal Support Worker (Term)

Job Location : Moose Factory, Ontario

Position Summary :

Under the general supervision of the Home Care Coordinator and Home Support Lead, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) will focus on providing optimal support for clients' activities of daily living and care required to manage diverse medical conditions. Additional care can be delegated in collaboration with a Registered Healthcare Professional as needed and when appropriate.

Qualifications / Requirements :

• Current Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Community College or an accredited PSW Education Program.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in the healthcare field.
• Current certification or willingness to obtain within the prescribed period:
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid
• Save Your Back
• Hand Washing
• WHMIS
• CPI - Non-violent Crisis Intervention
• Privacy and Confidentiality
• Other related certificates in the Home Care Setting
• Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills and ability to perform documentation on the program.
• Ability to speak and understand Cree is an asset.
• Flexible work hours and availability during power outages as required.
• Provide copies of certificates, diplomas/degrees along with your resume.
• Criminal record check including Vulnerable Sector clearance required prior to hiring.

Duration :

3-month term contract with the possibility of extension.
