Job summary

Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Certified Millwright in Chase, British Columbia. Starting rate for this position is CAD 51.25 per hour, with a graveyard shift.

Applicants should live in or relocate to the Adams/Shuswap Lakes area. This is not a camp or remote work facility. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on sawmill equipment, fabricate and install machinery from blueprints, and collaborate to improve reliability.

• Must have strong safety background.
• Must pass Physical Abilities Test (PAT) prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Work safely following all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on sawmill, planer and kiln hot oil system equipment.
• Fabricate, construct and install equipment using blueprints/diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and collaborate to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime.
• Be flexible with days, afternoon, graveyard, or weekend shifts.

Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Certified Millwright in Chase. Starting rate for this position is $51.245 per hour.

Applicants should live in or be willing to relocate to the Adams/Shuswap Lakes area. This is not a camp or remote work facility. This is a Graveyard shift position.

What You’ll Do

• Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.


• Preventive maintenance, repair and breakdown maintenance of sawmill, planer and kiln hot oil system equipment.


• Fabricate, construct, and install equipment and machinery with the use of blueprints and diagrams.


• Solve problems and work as part of a team focused on machine reliability and breakdown prevention.


• Available to work days, afternoon, graveyard, or weekend shifts.
