Job summary

Interfor in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a certified HD Mechanic to maintain mobile equipment across the mill to support safe, efficient production. Pay starts at $42.81 per hour, with responsibilities spanning diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, work in safety-sensitive environments, and may be required to work weekends. Red Seal certification and knowledge of Caterpillar/Detroit engines are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Must hold a red seal ticket in good standing.
• Able to troubleshoot mobile equipment hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience with heavy‑duty mobile equipment in construction/forestry.
• Safety‑sensitive environment experience.
• PC knowledge is an asset.
• Able to work weekends if required.
• Familiar with Caterpillar and Detroit Diesel engines.

Responsibilities

Certified HD Mechanic, Timmins, Ontario

Interfor is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated HD Mechanic to join our team in Timmins, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all mobile equipment throughout the mill to support safe and efficient production operations. The pay starts at $42.81 per hour.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair costs.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
• Test and repair equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Service attachments and working tools blades, ploughs, winches and buckets.
• Heavy-duty equipment mechanics repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty equipment used in construction, transportation, forestry.
• Maintain, service and repair marine vessels.
