Job summary

Oakmount Dental in Canada is seeking a Dental Assistant to support treatment rooms, assist dentists, and manage imaging and infection control. The position offers exposure to a range of services from general to cosmetic dentistry and a patient‑focused environment that values education and professional growth.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $31-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location, with a comprehensive total‑rewards package and opportunities for ongoing CE.

Qualifications

  • Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body is required.
  • Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
  • Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
  • Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
  • Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
  • Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
  • Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

Monday: 12:00 pm tp 8:00pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm

About You:
  • Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
