Job summary

Carewest in Calgary seeks a part-time Food Services Cook to join our dining team. Reporting to the Manager, Food Services, you will prepare and serve meals, ensure quality and safety, and support a positive dining experience for residents and staff.

With a Diploma in Cooking and Food Safe/Red Seal credentials, you will lead by example, work independently, and maintain high standards of sanitation and presentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Cooking or equivalent required.
• Food Safe certification required.
• Red Seal certification required.
• Minimum 4 years cooking experience.
• Experience with cook chill/freeze system is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients, families, visitors and staff.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing dining experience.
• Perform cooking, reheating and production activities according to client diets.
