Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Mobile Crisis Outreach Program Beaumont

Job Summary

Sycamores is partnering with the 988 mental health crisis hotline to provide support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The hotline offers initial phone support and triages calls to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Program for in-person assistance. The team responds 7 days a week from 7:30pm to 8:30am, with flexible shifts. The Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II or III (CADC) responds in person to provide crisis stabilization, safety planning, danger assessments, and write 51/50 holds as needed, along with follow-up support. Using the program vehicle, the role co-responds with a Peer Support Specialist and collaborates with various community partners including police, hospitals, and emergency services.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond to mental health crises in the field.
  2. Assess individuals for involuntary hospitalization if necessary.
  3. Coordinate care with hospitals, ambulances, housing, and other services.
  4. Work within designated geographical areas.
Pay Range and Schedule

Starting salary: $68,640 - $74,000 annually, based on experience and education.

Shift: Wednesday - Saturday, 6 pm - 4 am.

Qualifications
  • California Level II or III CADC certification required.
  • Must maintain relevant certification.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Valid California Driver License with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to operate agency vehicle and transport clients safely.
Physical Demands
  • De-escalation skills and physical management of consumers.
  • Frequent driving and fieldwork.
  • Physical activities including lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
  • Use of communication skills and operating a vehicle.
