JOB SUMMARY: Sycamores partners with the 988 mental health crisis hotline to support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The 988 hotline provides initial phone support and triages calls to the Sycamores Mobile Crisis Outreach Program for in-person assistance. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team responds 7 days a week from 7:30pm to 8:30am, with flexible shifts. The Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II or III (CADC) responds in person to provide crisis stabilization, safety planning, danger assessments, and writes 51/50 holds as needed, along with follow-up support. Using the Mobile Crisis Outreach vehicle, the role co-responds with a Peer Support Specialist and collaborates closely with the 988 call center, Riverside County Dispatch, police, sheriff, hospitals, and ambulance services.

The department evaluates individuals in crisis to ensure safety, including involuntary hospitalization when necessary. The CADC II or III leads care coordination, working with the Peer Support Specialist to locate hospitals, housing, and other resources. The team responds within specific geographical areas such as the Desert, Mid-County, and Western Regions.

Starting Pay Range: $68,640 - $74,000 annually, based on experience and education.
Shift Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 6:00pm – 4:00am

Job Qualifications

• California Level II or III Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification required.
• Certified as a CADC II or III under CCAPP.
• Maintain relevant certifications.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Complete all required trainings.
• RUBHS experience preferred.
• Valid California Driver License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate agency vehicle and adhere to safety standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to de-escalate consumers and manage physical safety.
• Frequent driving and mobility.
• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Use of vision, hearing, and communication skills.
• Presence in the office when not in the field.
• Ability to perform physical interventions and operate a vehicle.
