Job summary

Banff Caribou Properties Ltd. is seeking a hands-on maintenance specialist in Banff to care for our central maintenance team.

This role focuses on routine and preventative maintenance across our buildings and facilities, with responsibilities spanning plumbing, electrical systems, and general upkeep. Ideal candidates are practical, self-motivated and enjoy solving problems, with the ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in building maintenance and plumbing.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment.
• Friendly, professional and service-focused attitude.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and sense of ownership.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence, or eligibility to convert from out of province or overseas.
• Physical ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across our buildings and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, appliances and general building maintenance.
• Help keep our commercial laundry facility running safely and efficiently.
• Build strong, respectful working relationships with stakeholders and provide a high level of service.
• Participate in a shared on-call schedule.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and report hazards or injuries promptly.
• Support the wider operations team with additional tasks as needed.

Our Central Maintenance team looks after our commercial buildings and commercial laundry facility, helping keep these spaces safe, functional and operating at their best. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, solving problems and taking pride in getting the job done right.

What you’ll bring
