Job summary

Lifemark's Cole Harbour Integrated Health Services clinic is seeking a Care Coordinator to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in Dartmouth, NS. The role supports patients from intake through treatment planning, coordinates appointments, and handles billing and documentation with a focus on accuracy and compassionate service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience in a private clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a busy clinic environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to change with the ability to start with limited supervision.
• Experience in a private clinic setting is preferred (1–3 years).
• Basic computer and data entry skills are assets but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, greet patients and visitors and provide customer service.
• Coordinate intake information for first visits and throughout treatment plans.
• Assist patients with clinic paperwork to ensure accuracy.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain medical records.
• Collect payment at time of service and track funding approvals.
• Complete data entry and billing tasks.
• Coordinate courier packages and process incoming/outgoing communications.
• Provide administrative support to the Care Coordinator Manager and Clinic Director.

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Location: Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth, NS

Primary Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, greet patients and visitors upon arrival, and provide excellent customer service for all questions or concerns
• Coordinate a detailed and accurate intake of information on the patient’s first visit to the clinic and throughout their treatment plan
• Assist patients with completing paperwork at the clinic to avoid errors and inaccurate information
• Coordinateschedulingofpatient appointments and maintain the patient’smedical record
• Collect payment at time of service
• Track coverage for all funding streams to ensure approval
• Complete data entry and billing
• Coordinate courier packages (in or outgoing) and process incoming and outgoing email, mail and faxes
• Provide administrative support to the Care Coordinator Manager and Clinic Director

Qualifications & Core Competencies

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• High degree of organizational and multi-tasking skills in a busy and fast-paced work environment
• Preferably with 1-3 years work experience in a private clinic setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer savvy and data entry skills in a physiotherapy clinic setting will be an asset but not required
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimum supervision
