Job summary

Providence Health Care in Vancouver is offering a Registered Nurse (RN) Education Opportunity for the Cath Lab at St. Paul’s Hospital. The program funds tuition, books, and wages through the BCIT Critical Care Program, with successful grads joining the Cath Lab team.

This is an onsite role within PHC’s multi-site network and includes a pathway to specialized critical care experience. PHC supports clinician growth with orientation, buddy shifts, seminars, simulations, and paid education.

Qualifications

• Current practising registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work as a member in an interdisciplinary team.
• CPR proficiency and clinical teaching aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, plans, implement and evaluate the nursing care required to meet patients' physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise the plan of care.
• Incorporate teaching into the care plan and refer to resources as needed.
• Support other nurses and health care professionals by sharing information and procedures.
