Job summary

Providence Health Care's Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver is seeking an RN for CardiacCath Lab/Procedure Room/Electrophysiology Lab/Cardiac Short Stay. You will join an interdisciplinary team delivering comprehensive patient care in a state-of-the-art setting as the hospital prepares for the new St.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post graduate critical care course or 1 year recent experience in critical care or equivalent setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration with peers.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing patient/resident needs.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care.
• Monitor patient/resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, care plans, patient/resident status, and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems.
• Identify and address patient/resident and family learning needs, providing education and referrals as necessary.
• Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and share clinical knowledge to enhance patient care.
• Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient/resident care policies and procedures.
• Advocate for patients/residents' rights and dignity, facilitate discharge plans, and collaborate with families and community resources.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
