  • Coordinate with clients to confirm delivery times and menu details.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain financial records.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and keep the catering vehicle clean.

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Catering & Driver to join our team in Charlottetown, Canada. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality catered meals while ensuring safe and timely transportation. You will represent our organization with professionalism and excellence, managing both food service operations and vehicle logistics to exceed client expectations.

  • Prepare, plate, and serve catered meals and beverages according to client specifications and dietary requirements
  • Operate catering equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas
  • Manage food inventory, track supplies, and place orders to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company policies
  • Plan and execute delivery routes throughout Charlottetown to ensure timely arrival at events and locations
  • Maintain comprehensive vehicle maintenance records and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Set up and break down catering stations, including tables, serving equipment, and decorative elements
  • Coordinate with clients and event organizers to confirm delivery times, menu details, and special requests
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the catering vehicle
  • Manage multiple deliveries and events simultaneously while maintaining organizational efficiency
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent) with a clean driving record
  • Current food handling certification and knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Proven experience in food service or catering operations
  • Demonstrated experience operating commercial or passenger vehicles
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality

  • Preferred: Previous catering experience with event management
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Charlottetown routes and local geography
  • Preferred: Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
