Dexterra is seeking a reliable Catering Coordinator in Charlottetown to manage prepared meals, delivery, and vehicle logistics for events. You will ensure food safety, coordinate with clients, and oversee both food service and transportation operations to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent) with a clean driving record
  • Current food handling certification and knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Proven experience in food service or catering operations
  • Demonstrated experience operating commercial or passenger vehicles
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Preferred: Previous catering experience with event management
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Charlottetown routes and local geography
  • Preferred: Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, plate, and serve catered meals according to client specifications and dietary requirements
  • Operate catering equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas
  • Manage food inventory, track supplies, and place orders to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company policies
  • Plan and execute delivery routes throughout Charlottetown to ensure timely arrival at events and locations

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Set up and break down catering stations, including tables, serving equipment, and decorative elements
