What to Expect:

This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic food and retail executional plans for Nestlé Professional. The role involves integrating marketing and sales efforts to drive brand strategy by channel and commercializing demand-generating initiatives.

A day in the life of a Category Sales Development Analyst role

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) and channel plans that align with the overall business strategy.
  2. Facilitate the annual sales forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely projections.
  3. Act as a consultant for category management, providing insights and recommendations to the marketing and sales teams regarding channels and customer engagement.
  4. Collaborate with third-party Food & Beverage brokers and other business units to align out of home category strategies with overall sales objectives.
  5. Create compelling fact-based selling stories, applying relevant category, channel, and customer data to highlight areas of underperformance and growth opportunities.
  6. Provide rationale and insights for potential future opportunities.
  7. Participate in the creation of outstanding category and sales execution roadmaps, supporting the business unit's coordinated commercial plans (ICP) from inception to execution.
  8. Contribute to the development of category-level Strategic Revenue Management initiatives, supporting activation strategies to improve revenue potential.
  9. Conduct recurring and ad hoc analyses of business performance, category trends, and customer insights to advise strategic decision-making.
  10. Provide actionable recommendations for pricing analysis, portfolio optimization, and channel performance improvement.
  11. Ensure strict adherence to all company principles, policies, and compliance standards in all activities and initiatives undertaken.

Role Requirements

  1. 2 to 3 years of combined sales and analytical experience within the CPG or Food Service industry
  2. Excellent project management, time management, and communication skills
  3. Experience with Business Intelligence tools: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Power BI
  4. Post secondary education in a Business Administration with a focus on Sales, Marketing, or Finance
  5. Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to internal collaborators or retail partners
  6. Previous vendor advisor or customer facing role is considered an asset
