Content & Localization Engineer (DevOps) - 6-month contract
Content & Localization Engineer (DevOps) - 6-month contract

OSF Digital is a leading digital transformation firm with a global footprint in 30+ countries and over 2000+ employees. Our passion is in helping businesses leverage commerce, marketing, sales, service, analytics, loyalty, and digital experience solutions. We are a rapidly growing team of diverse individuals passionate about performance, technology, and customer satisfaction. At OSF Digital we place a key emphasis on work-life balance, employee satisfaction, and we strive to create a company culture that is innovative and open while empowering individuals to contribute in ways that positively impact us all.

We are looking for a Content & Localization Engineer to join our team on a contract basis.

This role is for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working on a variety of tasks, and building tools that make content faster, easier, and smarter in all languages — from creation and delivery to analysis and insights.

You'll be part of a team that connects systems, automates workflows, and helps deliver content to global audiences. If you're creative, technically skilled, and ready to work on projects that evolve with technology, this could be the perfect fit. There's also potential for this contract role to convert into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Write code to automate repetitive tasks for content platforms and websites.
  • Build integrations between tools so systems work together seamlessly.
  • Use AI and machine learning to improve workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Help migrate processes and infrastructure to GitHub or other modern platforms.
  • Work with cloud technologies to ensure systems are scalable and efficient.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with the lead engineer and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to make sure your work aligns with business needs.

This is a hands-on technical role where you'll have the chance to work on diverse projects while learning new tools along the way.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development industry.
  • Strong technical depth and involvement with Node.js, TypeScript, and GitHub Actions.
  • Comfortable handling large volumes of files across many different file formats (HTML, XML, JSON, YML, markdown) and an understanding of character encodings.
  • Familiarity with git workflows (branching, pull requests), APIs (REST, OpenAPI), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), front-end frameworks (React), testing frameworks (Playwright), static site generators (MadCap Flare, Jekyll, Gatsby, Next.js, Astro), and search indexing tools (Azure Cognitive Search, Swiftype).
  • Strong problem-solving skills—you enjoy figuring out how things work (and how they can work better).
  • A willingness to learn new tools like CMS or TMS systems as part of your job.
  • Great communication skills—you can explain technical concepts clearly to teammates who might not be engineers.

Work Hours:

This is a remote position requiring overlap with team members (7am–4pm Eastern Time Zone).

We are a rapidly growing team of diverse individuals passionate about performance, technology, and customer satisfaction. We are a work-from-anywhere company wherein most of our staff globally work remotely! What matters to us is not “where” you work, but “what” you deliver! OSF Digital places a key emphasis on work-life balance, employee satisfaction, and we strive to create a company culture that is innovative and open while empowering individuals to contribute in ways that positively impact us all.

OSF Digital is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, where you can bring your whole self to work. Join an inclusive and passionate community of professionals who help bring about digital transformation for businesses around the world. At OSF Digital, we welcome all individuals and do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, color, religion, national origin, age, marital status, or any other protected category in any of the jurisdictions in which we conduct business. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to OSF Digital. Employees may live anywhere in Canada, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. The pay rate for this role is CAD $30-35 per hour. This rate is specific to certain locations and may not be applicable to other locations.
