Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Burlington, ON is seeking a Delivery Helper to support safe installation of insulation materials at customer job sites. You will work with the team to ensure timely deliveries, load security, and high service levels while adhering to safety standards.

The role involves physical work, basic math, and effective communication with customers and colleagues. Training and benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive program.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract is an asset.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Completion of high school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and other trades on job sites.
• Install materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Report all accidents or injuries.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Purpose:

The Delivery Helper assists with the safe install of different insulation materials on customer job sites. Together with other team members, the Helper works to exceed customer expectations.

• Install materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.

Basic Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Sitting for long periods.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.

The (range of) compensation for this position is $22.84 to $26.49
