Job summary

Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre EGADZ Inc. is seeking Casual Youth Workers to support the Drop in Centre operations and assist youth in Saskatoon. You will engage with youth, help provide immediate services, and assist with nutrition, clothing, and referrals when needed.

Responsibilities include building trusting relationships with youth, advocating for their needs, and organizing sport, recreation and cultural activities in Centre and community settings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
• Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form.

Casual Youth Workers EGADZ Drop in Centre

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires Casual Youth Workers within our Drop in Centre. The Youth Worker is responsible for the daily operations of the Drop in Center and assisting the youth who access the facility.

EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities vary from building trusting relations with youth to advocating and providing immediate services including nutrition, clothing, and referrals for issues they require assistance with in Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will be able to organize and participate in sport, recreation and cultural activities with the youth both in the Centre and in the community.
