Job summary

Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation is seeking Casual Store Clerks to provide high quality customer service, process transactions, and uphold our mandate for safe and responsible sale of beverage alcohol and cannabis. You will support our Dunbrack Express and Kearney Lake locations, with hours that can vary week to week in this casual role.

Ideal candidates are 19+, have Grade 12 or equivalent, able to lift 40 lbs, and willing to pass a criminal record check.

Qualifications

• Be at least 19 years of age.
• Have your Grade 12, GED, or equivalent.
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Be physically able to lift 40lbs.
• Be willing to complete a Criminal Record check upon hire, or provide one issued within the last 6 months.
• Be willing to work shift work, particularly evenings and weekends.
• Be bilingual in predominantly French speaking communities.
• For our Eskasoni Location, candidates must be bilingual in English and Mi'kmaw and be a member of the Eskasoni First Nation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality customer service.
• Effectively handle transactions.
• Support the store's mandate for safe and responsible sale of beverage alcohol and cannabis.
• Assist with store operations across Dunbrack Express and Kearney Lake locations.

Job description

Casual Store Clerks are responsible for providing high quality customer service, effectively handling transactions, ensuring our mandate to manage safe and responsible sale of beverage alcohol and cannabis is adhered to, and performing other responsibilities necessary for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the store. The Store Clerk is expected to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the Purpose, Vision, and Values of the NSLC.

This position also requires the store clerk to be available to work shifts at Our Dunbrack Express location as well as Kearney Lake.

This is a casual position meaning hours can vary from week to week.

Qualifications

• Be at least 19 years of age
