The Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation in Carbonear is seeking a Liquor Sales Clerk for a temporary on-call position at the Carbonear Liquor Store. You will provide excellent customer service, operate the POS, handle inventory, and support loss prevention while ensuring responsible service of alcohol.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be at least 19, and have 1 year of retail customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 19 years of age.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service in retail.
• Must be physically able to perform duties.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Any combination of training and experience acceptable to the Corporation.

As a member of NLC’s stores team, this position is accountable for the following:

• Provide excellent customer service through the SERVE process;
• Operate a point of sale system;
• Perform inventory control by receiving inventory, maintaining product shelving and completing inventory counts;
• Maintain store security and perform loss prevention activities;
• Ensure social responsibility by preventing the sale of alcoholic beverages to prohibited individuals;
• Fill custom orders:
• Attend product knowledge seminars;
• Other related duties;

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• High School graduation;
• At least 19 years of age;
• A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience in a retail environment;
• Must be physically able to perform the duties required (Physical capability testing may be required);
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills;
• Or any combination of training and experience acceptable to the Corporation.

Salary:CG 22: $22.05 - $24.19 per hour
