Job summary

The Louis Riel School Division is seeking casual custodians to assist with cleaning, sanitation and basic maintenance in schools and divisional buildings. You will replace absent custodial staff and work with the Head Custodian to ensure a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

Role requires Grade 10 and ability to operate light cleaning equipment. Training in Respect In School or equivalent is required; WHMIS knowledge is preferred. Position open until filled.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10.
• Completion of Respect In School or equivalent training is required.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and workplace safety is preferred.
• Ability to operate light cleaning equipment (vacuum, mops, brooms, duster).
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work respectfully with divisional policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site safety, sanitation, and service in schools and divisional buildings.
• Perform general cleaning duties and grounds/building maintenance with the Head Custodian.
• Support the Multi-Year Strategic Plan through custodial work.
• Work with Custodial staff to ensure a clean, safe learning environment.
