Job summary

Chinook School Division #211 is seeking Casual Bus Drivers to transport students safely across multiple locations in Saskatchewan. The role involves daily vehicle checks, route adherence, and clear communication with school staff.

Training and supportive teamwork are emphasized in a dynamic, on-call schedule. Successful candidates will hold a Class 5 license with S Endorsement or be willing to obtain it, maintain a clean driving abstract, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with students

Qualifications

• Minimum Class 5 license with School Bus S Endorsement, or willingness to obtain.
• Satisfactory driving record/abstract.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on assigned routes.
• Regular bus cleaning and maintenance reporting.
• Adhere to safe driving procedures and PPE requirements.
• Communicate with school admin and transportation personnel about student conduct.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Be flexible for on-call shifts and various routes.
