Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking Casual Bus Drivers to support student transportation in Fraser Lake.

This casual position has no guaranteed hours and requires operating buses on regular routes, transporting students to curricular and extra-curricular activities, and performing daily safety inspections. The role emphasizes communication with students, parents, and staff, plus adherence to safety procedures and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Valid BC Class 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR training.
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.
• Defensive driving training or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of successful experience operating Class 2 or higher vehicles in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses on regular and scheduled routes.
• Transport students for curricular and extra-curricular trips.
• Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance checks.
• Maintain positive communication with students, parents, and school staff.
