Job summary

Waste Connections of Canada, Inc. is hiring a Casual Scale Attendant for the Coronation Landfill District. This on-call role covers vacation and sick days with no set shifts, paying $19.89 per hour. You will operate the weigh-station, enter data, and interact with drivers and customers on site.

The position requires good data-entry skills, strong communication, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel; overtime may be required based on business needs.

Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Casual Scale Attendant at our Coronation Landfill District.

Rate: $19.89 per hour

Shift: On-Call - No Set Shifts - this is to cover vacation, sickness and any other needs.

Responsibilities

Our priority is to make sure we hire safe individuals that care about the service provided to the community. As a Casual Scale Attendant with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Operate the weigh-station scale
• Entering appropriate data into computer (product, weight, customer name, etc.)
• Communicate with drivers, through speaker system, to determine type of material being dumped, etc.
• Process payment from customers, as needed
• There is no set schedule or guaranteed hours for this casual position.

What We Need From You

• Good data entry skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Position may be required overtime work depending on business need
