Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced RN or RPN to join the Mental Health & Substance Use Community Crisis Response Team in Nelson, BC. This casual position requires flexibility to cover the Intensive Case Management Team and Crisis Response Team with shifts 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, in a fast-paced community setting.

The role focuses on assessment, treatment, case management and timely access to evidence-based care for individuals in crisis, including those with co-occurring

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an approved school.
• Current practising registration with BCCNM.
• Formal training/experience in acute mental health nursing with crisis/rapid assessment experience.
• Current valid BC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a multi-disciplinary HCIS or Tertiary Mental Health Services team.
• Provides assessment, treatment, case management and community supports across the continuum of services.
• Delivers urgent response to clients in crisis and supports those with functional impairments.
• Acts as a primary clinician using specialized treatment modalities for individuals, groups or families.
