Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced RN or RPN to join the Mental Health & Substance Use team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. The role involves assessment, treatment and case management within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and requires current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

The position is a relief, part-time (0.71) role with day and night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing and two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary care team within HCIS or Tertiary Mental Health Services
• Provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support and urgent response as needed
• Delivers evidence-based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of services
• Acts as a primary clinician using specialized treatment modalities for individuals and groups
