Job summary

Extendicare is hiring a PSW/HCA/CCA for part-time roles in Mississauga. You will provide direct personal support to residents, including ambulation, feeding, bathing and grooming, aligned with care plans and policies.

The role requires completion of a PSW program or HCA/CCA certification, with preferred experience in long-term care or community home care, and strong English reading/writing ability. AI-assisted screening may be used in recruitment.

Qualifications

• Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards as required for the position.
• Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation.
• Ability to communicate positively with other staff, residents/patients and families.
• Ability to provide care in accordance with applicable legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, read/write English and understand instructions in English.
• Experience working independently in Community Home Care is an asset.
