Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is hiring a casual Pharmacy Assistant to support the Regina store team with patient-focused service and accurate prescription processing. The role requires assisting pharmacists, handling customer inquiries, and helping with daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of retail pharmacy experience, be accurate with data entry (Kroll), and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
