Job summary

FYidoctors Windsor - Roundhouse is seeking an Optical Associate to join our clinic, bringing exceptional skills to deliver outstanding vision and eyewear experiences in a collaborative environment.

The role is a casual/part-time position (0–19 hours per week), open Monday through Saturday, focusing on greeting patients, assisting with frame selection, interpreting prescriptions, and ensuring smooth clinic operations and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical retail or clinic is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with MS Office and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and patient service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, in person, by phone, and by email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options and assist with frame selection.
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
• Take frame and facial measurements for proper fit and adjustments.
• Coordinate appointments and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients and insurers.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and positive patient experiences.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as needed.
