Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning tools, materials, equipment, methods and techniques used in building cleaning, gained either through on-the-job experience or completion of formal training.

Responsibilities

• Performs janitorial work necessary for routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings and facilities which involves mobility, bending, lifting and reaching.
• Cleans and maintains surfaces, moves furniture and equipment when required, disposes waste, cleans washrooms and applies disinfectants.
• Operates hand and power tools, requests supplies, and notes repairs needed for facilities.
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and safety and assists in maintaining security of facilities.
