Job summary

NorQuest College is seeking a Casual Instructional Assistant in the Faculty of Health Studies to support Practical Nurse and Health Care Aide programs. The role requires travel to Edmonton and Wetaskiwin campuses and involves lab-based instruction with weekday and weekend sessions.

You will facilitate learning, supervise labs, and provide feedback while maintaining student records. A Practical Nurse designation and CLHA registration are required, plus current BLS and teaching experience is a

Qualifications

• A Practical Nurse designation is required.
• At least 3 years of nursing or nursing education experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience).
• CLHA registration with no restrictions
• Current BLS
• Previous formal or informal teaching experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the lab setting and maintain a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain attendance and performance records for students and provide feedback.
• Notify relevant staff of student concerns and support learner progress.
• Develop and maintain relationships with college departments to support learners.
