ParaMed seeks a Casual NSWOC RN for homecare visits across Chatham Kent. The role focuses on advanced wound, ostomy and continence care with per-visit compensation and flexible scheduling.

The NSWOC will educate the care team, consult on complex cases, and lead clinical initiatives while collaborating with partners to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• NSWOC certification or eligibility is required/preferred.
• IIWCC interprofessional wound care course may be considered.
• WOCC(C) certification is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in community or wound/ostomy/continence care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct wound, ostomy and continence assessment, care and management.
• Educate patients, families, and ParaMed nursing staff.
• Provide consult/clinical support to nursing team (direct or remote).
• Participate in leadership opportunities in wound/ostomy/continence.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders; precept nurses as needed.
• Follow evidence-based practices and company policies.

We are currently seeking a Casual NSWOC RN for homecare visits throughout Chatham Kent .

Pay Rate: $79.56 per visit

Availability: This casual position offers flexibility to work around your schedule.

In this community nursing role, as a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) Nurse and as working as a part of the ParaMed nursing health care team the NSWOC will provide and promote evidenced based advanced wound, ostomy and continence assessment, management and care to all patient groups either through a consultative process or by direct care.

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct practice to patients requiring wound, ostomy and continence assessment, care and management.
• Provide education to ParaMed’s nursing health care team, patient, and families.
• Provide consultation /clinical support to ParaMed’s nursing health care team (direct/or remote) including recommendations for specialty products/nursing care.
• Participate inwound/ostomy/continenceclinical leadership opportunities.
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Preceptor ParaMed nurses as required.
• Follow wound, ostomy and continence evidence based clinical best practices and ParaMed policies and procedures.

What you bring:

• Nurse Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC).
• InternationalInterprofessionalWound Care Course (IIWCC) may beconsidered.
• Canadian Nurses Association Certification -WOCC(C) – an asset
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse ideally in a community setting and/or providingwound/ostomy/continencecare to patients (directcare/consultation)
• Currentmembership/registrationwith the Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence Canada(preferred)
