Job summary

Red Deer Public Schools is seeking casual labourers to support a variety of general labourer duties across our sites. Applicants must be available on short notice, including early mornings, Monday through Friday, with hours and duties varying based on operational needs.

Typical tasks include hauling and moving materials, and seasonal maintenance such as snow and ice removal around school entrances, including hand shovelling and sanding.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labour, maintenance, or snow removal is beneficial.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Excellent stamina for active physical work and lifting.

Casual Labourers

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous experience in general labour, maintenance, or snow removal at commercial properties would be an asset.
• Candidates must have access to a reliable vehicle and hold a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Good physical stamina is required, as the work involves active physical movement and may include lifting, carrying, hauling, and shovelling.
• Flexibility and the ability to respond to changing priorities and short-notice requests are essential.

This competition will remain open until suitable candidates are found, but will not close prior to November 6, 2026.
