ABOUT THE UPPER GRAND DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD (UGDSB)
The UGDSB employs a team of approximately 4,000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35,000 students attending a variety of programs across 65 elementary and 11 secondary schools as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin, Wellington, and the City of Guelph. The UGDSB covers the ancestral and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Six Nations of the Grand River, and Saugeen Ojibway Nation.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Casual Educational Assistant (EA) . This opening is specifically for a position on our EA Supply List. This is a 10-month position (September to June) to start as soon as possible.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing temporary and/or short-term coverage for EA employee absences on an as-needed basis in both elementary and secondary English and French Immersion Programs.
Location:
All geographical areas of the Board with flexibility to choose specific areas within the Board's geographical regions, including North Wellington, Centre Wellington, East Wellington, Guelph, Orangeville, Dufferin County, and Shelburne.
Hours of work/FTE:
As this is a casual position, there is no guaranteed number of hours per week. However, a casual employee with full availability could work full-time (1.0 FTE; 32.5 hours per week) depending on need.
As a member of the EA Supply List, you will have the opportunity to apply for vacant permanent or temporary positions as they arise, with possible consideration over external applicants.
Rate of Pay / Salary Range:
$29.92 per hour plus applicable vacation pay, in accordance with Employment Standards Act; wage rate effective September 1, 2024.

Reporting to the school Principal, the successful candidate must possess willingness, along with the physical ability to work with all our students who have diverse needs.
