Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Barrie, Ontario is seeking Casual/Supply Early Childhood Educator/Assistant to work alongside teachers and families in providing a home-away-from-home for children. Expect to assist in classroom instruction while upholding safety and well‑being standards.

Requirements include High School/Equivalent, an Early Childhood Assistant Certification or RECE, immunization and health checks, and current First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification or RECE preferred.
• Experience planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with staff and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain classroom materials, cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an CasualEarly Childhood Educator/Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well‑being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co‑workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification, or Registered Early Childhood Educator
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
