Edmonton Catholic Schools is seeking casual Early Childhood Educators to work collaboratively with the school team, and in particular the Half-Day Kindergarten teachers where Extensions programming is offered. Early Childhood Education Diploma and a minimum of three years experience as Lead Educator is a requirement for this position. French or Spanish language skills are an asset. Successful candidates are expected to create early learning experiences and environments that support learning through play. The incumbent guides play and documents children’s progress. The job is involved in planning inquiry-based programming that follows the Alberta Early Learning and Care Framework (FLIGHT) and is responsible for providing an enriched environment.
This is a casual position, with no guarantee of hours to be worked. However, once onboarded candidates have the opportunity to apply to long term / permanent positions within the division as an internal employee.
