Job summary

Karis Disability Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help people with developmental disabilities participate fully in their communities.

You will assist with daily living activities, work closely with families and advocates, and promote self-determination while respecting each person's unique strengths. Flexible schedules, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Valid Sask. Class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory Driver's Abstract.

Job description

Direct Support Professional employees build communities that value the contributions of people who experience developmental disabilities. They assist with activities of daily living, working collaboratively with families, advocates, friends, and community partners in order to promote full citizenship and enhance relationships. Requirements

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check

• 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
