Job summary

CUPE in Central Region is hiring casual custodians for Timmins, Schumacher, South Porcupine area. Positions cover multiple schools, including Bertha Shaw Public School, Golden Avenue Public School, Pinecrest Public School and others.

Applicants must be able to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move furniture, with WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain it. Include Vulnerable Sector Check and other documents when applying.

Qualifications

• To perform cleaning tasks in classrooms, washrooms, offices, etc.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Basic computer skills (e-mail, data entry)
• Some heavy lifting and moving of furniture
• Must have or be willing to obtain WHMIS Certification
• Must submit Fit to Work form (Cost of form covered by District School Board Ontario North East)
• Must submit clear Vulnerable sector check

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks in classrooms, washrooms, offices and other areas as needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions to complete cleaning schedules and tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards as directed by supervisors.

Requirements
