  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Maintain records related to food preparation, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with students and staff.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Principal.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Other Requirement

  • Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid Class five (5) driver’s license is an asset.
  • Clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Casual, on-call position with hours that will vary based on operational needs and coverage requirements.
  • Work is primarily performed in a school kitchen and dining environment.
  • Must safely operate kitchen equipment and follow food safety procedures.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • May be required to work with short notice to provide coverage for staff absences.

MCFN Standard Closing Statement

In accordance with MCFN hiring practices, this position will be posted internally for a minimum of fourteen (14) days to provide qualified MCFN Members and internal candidates with the opportunity to apply . The MCFN Member priority period will end on August 25, 2026. Following the conclusion of the member priority period, the posting will remain open until filled, and external candidates may be considered. Final candidates for this position will be required to complete security screening, which includes a criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Check.
