Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly banquet server to set up and service banquet events, greet guests and respond to requests with courtesy. You will prepare the room, participate in pre-event briefings, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout service.

The role requires a self-starter with a professional appearance, strong guest communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have self-motivation and a positive attitude.
• Ability to present professionally at all times.
• Strong communication with guests and team members.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Familiarity with proper table settings and service ware.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor, including linen, service ware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages in order and per Supervisor's instructions to ensure consistency.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction throughout the event.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, service ware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
• Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.

• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts that may include days, evening, weekends, holidays.
