Job summary

Phoenix Drug & Alcohol Recovery and Education Society seeks an Addictions Support Worker (Casual) to assist clients with mental health and substance use needs. Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Social Service.
• 2 years of experience providing one-to-one and group support in the community social services sector.
• Criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening is required.
• Tuberculosis Screening, Employee Immunization, and NVCI training completed are required.
• First aid with CPR is required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in case planning with clients and healthcare providers.
• Provides individual supports to develop daily living and social skills.
• Contributes to a therapeutic community environment.
• Observes clients and identifies potential emergencies and reports as required.
• Facilitates Psycho-Educational workshops on life skills and mental health.
