Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a part-time Security Officer to oversee security across the casino floor in Williams Lake, BC. You will protect guests and staff while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment and complying with provincial gaming regulations.

The role requires guest-service excellence, basic surveillance experience, and a willingness to obtain or maintain necessary security and gaming licenses. Benefits and growth opportunities accompany a competitive wage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a security role.
• Proven, high level of customer service.
• Detail-orientated and organized nature.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration (Ontario).
• ProTect and Deal Us training or BC GSO training within specified windows.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and respond to guest inquiries quickly.
• Control access to the facility and to sensitive areas.
• Monitor alarm panels and manage keys.
• Write reports and maintain a daily log; conduct investigations.
• Provide First Aid and medical attention as required.
