Job summary

Alimentation St-Onge Inc. is seeking a friendly cashier to join our team in Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec. You will assist customers by scanning merchandise, processing payments, and balancing the cashRegister at the end of your shift. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to learn and grow within the company.

The position supports 20–30 hours per week with day and evening shifts, and a focus on accurate pricing, customer service, and teamwork in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience using a cash register system is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about our products and procedures.
• Strong customer service oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer.
• Ensure accuracy of prices and process cancellations according to standards.
• Handle cash and payment methods (debit, cheque, etc.) and make deposits per policies.
• Balance cash register and meet productivity standards.

What might a typical day look like?

As a cashier, you will :

• punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer;
• ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards;
• handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies;
• ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
