Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Morin-Heights is hiring a part-time cashier to support daily store operations. You will punch and/or scan merchandise, ensure price accuracy, handle cash and payments, and balance the cash register while meeting productivity standards.

The role requires availability for Day and Evening shifts, with 16–36 hours per week and flexible scheduling. This position offers opportunities for skill development in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash register system.
• Experience in a similar position.
• Availability for Day/Evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer.
• Ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and cancellations per standards.
• Handle cash and payments (debit, cheques, etc.) and make deposits per policies.
• Balance cash register and meet productivity standards.

What might a typical day look like?

As a cashier, you will :

• punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer;
• ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards;
• handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies;
• ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
